Gabi Thoenen
I have been traveling regularly to Southern Africa, for many years. My many travels have taken me to Botswana, South Africa as well as Namibia and in doing so a large piece of my heart always remains in Africa. Its people, all the flora and fauna, as well as the wild natural environment captivate and fascinate me, taking me back to Southern Africa time and time again.
My particular love belongs to Zambia, where I set up an aid project in Mpanshya, 200 km east of Lusaka. (http://www.mpanshya-help.ch).
In 2015 I realized a dream and joined the eight-week Nature Guide Course (today it’s called Field Guide) with Eco Training in South Africa and Botswana, followed by the four-week Safari Guide Course in 2017.
